BEML plays a stellar role in the country’s Integrated Guided Missile / Radar Development Projects by supplying ground support vehicles.
SBU-HMV, manufactures variants of BEML High Mobility Vehicle for all terrain operations including Bridge Layer, Field Artillery Tractor, Medium & Heavy Recovery Vehicle, Pontoon Mainstream Bridge Systems, Sarvatra Bridging system, Gun Towing Vehicles, Crash Fire Tenders, Mobile Mast Vehicle, etc. BEML also supplies Tank Transportation Trailers, Weapon Loading & Replenishing equipment, Heavy Recovery Vehicle, Troop Carriers on HMVs, Engineering Mine Ploughs, Armoured Recovery Vehicles, Mil-rail Coaches and Wagons.
The company has also created a world class test track at its KGF, Mysore, Palakkad Complexes to test defence equipment and vehicles
Aerospace
BEML Limited has strategically entered the Aerospace sector to capitalize on the burgeoning opportunities within both the global and domestic markets and launched its Aerospace Manufacturing Division during Aero India 2009.
The Aerospace Manufacturing Division in Mysuru is AS9100D accredited, and is equipped with a state-of-the-art machine shop, sheet metal shop, and heat treatment shop.
At Aerospace, indigenisation is a major thrust area, reflecting our commitment to self-reliance. The Company has achieved 99% indigenisation level for 75 Ton Aircraft Towing Tractors. Additionally, BEML has successfully indigenised major aggregates for Ground Handling and Ground Support equipment. Currently, BEML is focusing on the indigenisation of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
